The Canadian Days Committee is an all-volunteer group. The week of Canadian Days, we could use volunteer help in several ways to help make our festival a success.

Setup begins at Spooner Park at 9:00 am on Wednesday and continues until the festival opens at 5:00 pm on Friday. Duties include setting up tents, arranging tables and chairs, putting up lighting, organizing supplies in the pavilion kitchen, hanging signs, striping car show parking, and other miscellaneous duties. There is a lot to do, but many hands make light work!

Parade Marshals

We need parade marshals (16 years and older) for our parade on Sunday. Parade marshals wear reflector vests and are placed along the parade route to keep units in the parade moving and together. Not only is it a relatively short time commitment (11:30 am - 2:00 pm), but you get a front row seat to watch the parade.

Cleanup begins on Sunday at 4:00 pm after Playland closes by dismantling the booths and taking down the tent. When the rest of Canadian Days closes at 5:00 pm, it's all hands on deck! We need help stacking tables and chairs, taking down decorations, putting equipment and supplies away, and cleaning up the park.

If you are interested in volunteering in any of these areas, fill out the online volunteer application form. Be sure to include the dates and times you are available and the opportunities in which you are interested. A Canadian Days member will contact you with more information and to thank you for volunteering.
