Comprehensive Plan

The City of Little Canada’s Comprehensive Plan is a document that will be used as a guide that provides direction and vision as to how the city will develop and grow.  The plan also creates a framework for future decisions and is used by the City Council, Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, City Staff, and the public in planning processes.

2040 Comprehensive Plan

On December 2, 2020, the City Council adopted the 2040 Comprehensive Plan.  The City began the Comprehensive Planning process in 2017 and staff conducted numerous meetings and community engagement efforts.  On May 28, 2020, the City Council approved the DRAFT Plan for submission to the Metropolitan Council for final review.  Once accepted, the Plan was sent back for the City to make any final revisions before adoption.
